GAME RULES

The concept is simple, you open an account, you bet on the football, you win or lose. Use your knowledge of the game to advance your betting bank by betting on real life football fixtures and whoever comes out on top at the season’s end wins £20,000 cash. Whether you wish to place large bets on strong favourites to build your bank over the course of the season or if you want to try for a quick profit with accumulators**, the choice is yours. You can also enjoy bragging rights amongst your friends, family, colleagues etc. by forming your own mini league.

** maximum pay out for accumulators is £2500. This is to prevent entrants from placing 50 x £10 accumulators in the first week of the season, winning 1 which pays out £1,000,000+ and so ending the competition.

STEP 1
Open an account for £5 and receive your £500 play money betting bank (please note: the £500 is play money for the purpose of the Game, it cannot be ‘cashed out’ all or in part at any time!).

STEP 2
Study the form, follow the stats, gut instinct or stick a pin in a coupon but choose the fixtures you wish to bet on. You don’t have to bet every day, you don’t have to bet every week the choice is yours. If you see something you fancy then go for it. Formulate a staking plan or throw money at it as you see fit but manage your account to the best of your knowledge and place your bets at virtualpunter.com in the same way as you would at a real life bookmakers.

That’s pretty much it! As the real life fixtures are concluded the results will be added to the site and accounts will be updated to show profits/losses. The overall winner at the end of the season wins the £20,000 cash prize. 2nd place picks up £3,500 and 3rd gets £1,500. There are also 10 monthly prize winners of £100 for the account accruing the largest increase in that calendar month barring re-buys*.

*An entrant can re-buy £500 play money for £4 once their betting bank drops below £50.

There is no limit to the number of accounts one person can open and there is no limit to the number of re-buys.
